Bright Shiny News recommends: G'NOSH gourmet dips

We had the most amazingly delicious lunch today...

We were sent over five tasy dips to try by G'NOSH and they really did brighten up our lunch hour.

G’NOSH is a new gourmet dips brand with five delicious fresh flavours, combining easy-going sociable food (that’ll be the NOSH), with a love of gourmet (which is what the G stands for!).

There are a few reasons why we like G'Nosh. They're 100% free from preservatives and artificial flavourings, and they come in great snack pots so perfect for pack lunches.

They can also be used as cooking cheats (Deliah would be proud), you can stir into soups or pasta, dress salad leaves, marinate meats or spread on to a pizza base…the combinations are endless.

There's the Sun-dried Tomato & Basil Chunky flavour which is packed with succulent sundried tomatoes, parmesan and a zing of fresh basil, which we tried with nachos but it would also work as a fabulous stir-in sauce for pasta.

Then there's the Spicy Red Pepper Muhumarra made with roasted red peppers, spices and lemon which again we had with nachos but we'll be trying it out as a side dish when we have chicken.

We experimented with the Sweet Black Bean and added it with houmous to a crusty roll.  The black beans are complimented with honey and caramelised onions - yum.

We stuffed a pitta with the Smoky Roasted Aubergine Babaghanoush and some salad. The aubergine, tahini, garlic and greek yoghurt work perfectly together.

We have yet to try the Beetroot & Mint Chunky as we're stuffed but we've been told the beetroot, parmesan and fresh mint is a winning combination.  Tomorrow we'll be trying it on ciabatta with melted goat's cheese - yum!

G'NOSH is available from Ocado, Whole Foods Kensington, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols (£2.49).

Nike has started to give people what they want, and the brand’s done so in the form of letting its fans vote on which classic Air Max model they want to be brought back each year for Air Max Day.
