Cheryl Cole to release a 'tell-all' autobiography

Cheryl Cole has signed a publishing deal to write her life-story, which will be released in October.

The book is due to come out on October 11 and is expected to go into detail about her marriage and split from her soccer player ex-husband Ashley Cole.

The book will cover her childhood and her rise to fame through ITV talent show Popstars: The Rivals.

It could also cover her brief stint as a judge on The X Factor US - and her subsequent firing by Simon Cowell.

Simon spoke heavily about the 29-year-old singer in his biography by Tom Bower.

HarperCollins said: "For the first time Cheryl will tell her story in full in her own words."

Publisher Carole Tonkinson added: "Cheryl Cole is the nation's sweetheart. We are absolutely thrilled to be publishing her story.

"Cheryl's an amazing woman with a capacity to inspire everyone. She emerges from every challenge stronger and with more grace and good humour and beauty - inner and outer."

She continued: "We're still pinching ourselves that Cheryl chose us as her publisher and we're going to do everything in our power to make this the Christmas number one."

Cheryl has previously said she would consider writing a book about her life because there are so many unauthorised versions.

She admitted: "I see these girls that say, 'This is literally like a bible for me - I read it and I hang off every word it says', and I've had nothing to do with it. I don't have the heart to say 'this book is almost completely made up'."
